Construction Management:
Guiding you through the project
We use our background in running landscape construction companies to help you navigate working with landscape contractors. From matching you with the perfect fit in our large network of contacts, to advocating for your design throughout the install, we’re here to help make the complex things simple.
Our Process, Step by step
The Consult visit
This is a scheduled complimentary meeting where we visit your home or project site to discuss the visions you have for your project. This meeting typically lasts about an hour. We will take the time to walk the property with you to get an idea of the type of property we will be working with as well as discussing your concerns of the current condition of your property and what changes or additions you would like to see take place. During this meeting we will be asking several different questions that allow us to understand your dreams, we will also discuss soil and sun conditions, future growth, as well as budget and timelines.
After our meeting, you will receive a full written description reiterating our intentions for your space, as well as your design agreement.
The Design Phase
This is the fun part! Now we begin talking about your relationship with your space, and how you interact with it. This also begins the deep dive into soil conditions, sun and shade conditions, topography, and existing flora and fauna.
In order for a vision to come to life and for a budget to stay on track it’s imperative that a design first be created.
The design phase is the best way to look at the concepts of your new landscape in an interactive manner. To ensure you are completely confident in the design, our design presentation also includes plant photos, material samples, 3D models when needed, and our detailed design notes including construction documentation.
The design process can take anywhere from four to twelve weeks depending on the complexity of your landscape and details, and billed monthly at an hourly rate, fully estimated up front to ensure there are no overages or surprises during this creative process.
Presentation Packet
Our Presentation Packet includes a viewing of all material and product photos as well as samples; presented in a well curated packet to ensure the feel of your new space is perfectly you.
Revisions
If you are not fully in love with the first design, that is okay! We will happily work with you to continue to make revisions until you feel the design inspires you!
The Build & Management
During the construction, it is inevitable that the contractor will want to speak with the designer directly. Though our thoroughly laid out plans help eliminate all the big questions, there are always detailed questions and site specifics that arise. Your designer is also representing your vision in a way the contractor can understand.
During construction your designer can be available at the hourly rate to assist onsite, or with any additional documentation needed as well as your designer can also be on-call and on-site as needed to ensure all design details are properly implemented. This helps maintain a low level of friction for you and your contractor allowing your designer to oversee all details of the design to full completion. Site visits and meetings are billed at an hourly rate and invoiced monthly.
It is also possible for your designer to manage your project from start to finish for you. Including gathering quotes for construction, vetting contractors, and
making daily site visits as needed to ensure the proper and accurate completion of your project.
Cancellations
**There will be an automatic $50.00 fee for any appointments canceled within 24 hours before a scheduled meeting. If meeting times need to change, please contact us immediately and we will be happy to accommodate as needed.
